These are NodeFlowing’s own prices. Here is how I would turn those starting points into a clear brief before asking you for a deposit.

Start with the work you want to show

A first website does not need to contain everything your practice has produced. Imagine an independent architect with six projects, a short introduction and a defined set of services. Each project needs a name, a location at an appropriate level of detail, its status, a description and a selection of images. A visitor should understand what the practice does and how to enquire.

That fits the purpose of the Portfolio plan, US$390, which includes up to eight projects with individual pages, custom design for mobile and desktop, contact options, technical SEO and Search Console setup. The current plan also includes a standard domain for the first year.

Before estimating the delivery date, we check whether the photos, drawings and text are ready. Six organised projects and six folders of unnamed images are different starting points. The plan’s usual delivery window is 7–10 days after the agreed material is available.

Decide who will add the next project

Now imagine a practice with a growing body of work, different project types and someone on the team who wants to publish updates. The question becomes how the website will stay useful after launch.

The Studio plan, US$690, includes unlimited projects, filters by type, a dashboard to add projects, studio and team pages, visitor statistics and more detailed SEO work. Additional languages are agreed in the proposal. Its usual delivery window is 1–2 weeks once the required material is ready.

Unlimited projects means the site supports your growing portfolio. We still agree how to organise the material and schedule the initial publication. Preparing project descriptions, translating them, selecting images and adding future work are responsibilities to make clear in the proposal.

If you only need six finished projects online and do not plan to update them yourself, the dashboard may not be what determines your choice. If your team adds work regularly, ask to see how that process will work before choosing a plan.

Describe an interactive feature as a task

For Custom, from US$990, bring the task you want a visitor or a member of your team to complete. “We need something interactive” leaves too much open. A clearer request is: “A visitor should choose a room on a floor plan and explore the corresponding panorama.”

A quote tool, virtual showroom, project viewer or CRM connection each needs its own definition. We agree which feature is included, the material it needs and the final price. The starting price does not mean every possible tool or a complete property platform is included. Custom projects start from four weeks; the actual timeline follows the agreed scope.

For a panoramic tour, tell me whether you already have the panoramas and plans. For a CRM connection, name the CRM and explain what information should reach it. This lets us check the requirements before committing to a price.

Separate the build from later costs

There is no mandatory NodeFlowing maintenance subscription for the website plans. A static portfolio can use free hosting within the provider’s limits. That does not make every website free to operate indefinitely.

Your proposal should distinguish:

  • The agreed design and development fee
  • The domain included in year one and its renewal afterwards
  • Any hosting, content system or external service the chosen functions require
  • Who handles future content updates
  • Any ongoing support or SEO work you decide to commission separately

If a function depends on a paid service, its cost and account responsibilities need to be clear before work starts. An email enquiry link and a system that stores enquiries are different requirements; describe which one your practice needs.

Make the payment stages concrete

The agreed development fee is split 50% to start and 50% before launch. At the listed prices, that is US$195 + US$195 for Portfolio or US$345 + US$345 for Studio. Custom deposits follow the final agreed quote.

Card payments and instalments depend on the payment provider and your card. I confirm the available options and conditions before payment. The agreed website belongs to you after full payment, with the delivery details set out in your proposal.

See what a finished project looks like

The AHB Architects case study shows a published bilingual studio website and an interactive tour of The Block. The tour is a separate feature whose scope depends on the project material; it is not a standard inclusion in a Portfolio website.

Send a brief that makes the quote useful

You can start with this:

We are [studio], based in [country], and work on [project types]. We want the website to help visitors [main task]. We have [number] projects ready, with [photos, drawings, renders and text]. We need [languages]. [Person or team] will add future projects. Our target launch is [date] and our budget is [range]. Our current website or portfolio is [link]. The additional feature we need, if any, is [task].

You do not need a finished specification. Those answers are enough to identify missing material, suggest an appropriate scope and prepare a proposal with a price, responsibilities and review stages.

See the architecture website plans, or email [email protected] with your current portfolio and intended launch date.
